You can quickly create slides in PowerPoint from an outline that you have put together in Word without having to copy and paste.  So, if you need to create a presentation based on a report you have in Word, this tip will save you time.

Word Outlines are a great tool to plan, build and see the structure of longer documents. You can quickly assign headings and sub-headings as well as re-arrange the order of chunks of text. These headings and sub-headings can be imported directly into PowerPoint to create slides. Level 1 headings in Word arrive in PowerPoint as titles on new slides. Level 2 headings in Word land as bullet points in PowerPoint.
