What will I learn?

Full Course Details

The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the ability to create and manage Power BI data sources, reports and dashboards. Delegates will gain an understanding of the components and functionality of Power BI and the role of both Power BI Desktop and the Power BI Service. As most of the work involved in creating reports is carried out in the Desktop, the main part of the course will focus on Power BI Desktop.

On completion of this course delegates will be able to understand the key stages of working with Power BI including Data Sources, Transforming Datasets, Adding Measures, Visualisations, and Publishing Reports.

To attend this beginners session, little or no experience of Power BI is required. However, a general understanding of Business Intelligence reporting, relational databases and Excel, in particular formulas and Pivot Tables, would be helpful.
