Tips and Tricks

Excel’s Quick Analysis Tool provides shortcuts to a selection of some of the great options offered by various analysis features including Conditional Formatting, Charts, Totals, Tables and Sparklines. It cuts down the time you might spend “surfing” the Ribbon looking for commands and provides quick analysis in a few seconds.

The Quick Analysis Tool appears bottom right corner of a cell range selection and can also be activated with the keyboard shortcut CTRL+Q. It offers live preview so that you can point and see the impact of applying features to your data before committing and uses built-in logic to make recommendations based on the type of data (numbers, dates or text) you have selected.
