Microsoft Outlook – Creating a Distribution List…

Posted in MS Outlook Tips & Tricks on June 17, 2009

If you regularly email the same group of people, rather than having to type the individual email addresses each time, try creating a Distribution List

  • Within Outlook Contacts click the File menu and select New and then Distribution List.
  • A new distribution list window will be displayed. Type in a name for the list.
  • Use the Select Members button to select addresses that are already in Contacts or select Add New to type in an address.
  • Repeat until all members have been added.
  • When you have finished, click the Save & Close button on the toolbar.
  • The next time you need to email the group of people, type the name of the distribution list into the email address bar and the email will be sent to all members of the group.

  1. I have wondered about for this for so long but never got around to asking. This is really helpful. Thank you!
